Forest scene, Australia
These are the futile moments
Where the peace that You have granted
Flies away into temptations;
In unwisdom it gets planted.
For such fickle things as these
I tear myself from You.
With burnt-out histories and crazy ideas,
You disappear from view.

You graced me with the right
To choose what is wrong,
But now I see the light
And I know where I belong.
It seems a gentle balance
That a Yogi has to find,
To keep You always close at heart,
In thought and word and mind.

I look to Your eternal eyes,
Am faced with my mistakes.
To clear the aching false desires,
The ego here must break.
I wish today to turn back time,
And choose a wiser path,
To catch myself the instant that
My blindness turned to wrath.

I wish that I could see myself
When I’m thinking as a fool,
Pull myself back into line,
To Your auspicious rule.
I now must take tapasya
To strengthen what is weak,
To find instead the innocence
And purity that I seek.

Forgive me, Mother, for the times today
I forgot to see what’s true,
For ignorance in thoughts and words
I wish I could undo.
I’m tired of having days like this;
Please give me pure desire,
To stop my mind from wandering
and indulging in the Maya.

There are those who know
the time has come
that their hands can speak the truth.

There are those who comprehend
the powers of auspicious magic
and hold it dearly at every moment.

There are those who understand
they are the creators of the New World,
who can see now the age of Aquarius unfolding
as the Lotus above their heads.

There are those who accept
the responsibility laid upon their breast,
rewarded tenfold in joyful blessings
bestowed upon their lives.

There are those who realise
the meaning of surrender,
the fickleness of this world,
and the subtlety of their spirit.

There are those who see
only the present, who hear the songs of every bird,
who comprehend without a thought
the nature of each moment.

There are those whose faith
takes them on serendipid journeys
into the lightness of their being,
and adventures in a world unimagined before.

There are those who are blessed
to gaze into Her infinite eyes,
To bow at Her Holy Feet,
knowing who it is before them.

Mahabaleshwar, India

Hearts a-flutter, we stand at the precipice.
What does the future hold?
Are we brave enough
To take the leap of faith
That propels us into the unknown?

With our minds grounded in human existence
We are not aware of the storehouse
Of love and knowledge and blessings
That are ready for us,
If we have the courage to take.

They are there for the asking.
They do not depend on youth or beauty
Or riches or fame.
They are not related to ambition
Or striving or greed.

They are the pure existence,
The pure blessings of Our Holy Mother,
Available to all who wish to partake,
To all who wish to join
In the throngs of people living in Love.

There are my words and there are yours
and somewhere inbetween
is the truth.

There is my judgement and there is yours
and somewhere inbetween
hides the truth.

There is our past and our hopes for the future
and somewhere inbetween
there is the truth.

Between
my truth and yours
there lies the discovery.

Between
 our beliefs and our cultures
the truth has no words.

Between
thinking  and feeling
we do not know
what the truth of the matter is.

So,
we must surrender,
to the space between.

And inbetween
we are free.
