Makar Sankranti 2022 – Celebrating the beginning of the new Season.

Makar Sankranti 2022
Celebrating the beginning of the new Season

3 Day Free Online Workshops
Friday 14th to Sunday 16th February 2022

This year of 2022, calls for things to be done differently – hence the need for revamping the traditional celebration for Makar Sankranti.

It is an absolute pleasure of Sahaja Yoga Australia Meditation group to bring to you a series of free practical online workshops across three days to embrace and celebrate the new Season with enthusiasm, vibrance and zeal. Each day will include guided meditation sessions, in appreciation of our connection to Mother Earth, who always guides and provides for us through the Seasons.

“Sankranti means that today something new is going to happen. Today is the day where we celebrate the change of the axis of the Sun and that He [the Sun] moves towards the tropic of cancer. Tropic of cancer is the one which represents the motherhood, the motherhood of the earth.” Shri Mataji – founder of Sahaja Yoga

Celebrating 40 years of Sahaja Yoga meditation in Australia

Celebrating 40 years of Sahaja Yoga in Australia

Meditation, music and exhibition events during March 2021

This month, we celebrate 40 years of Sahaja Yoga in Australia.

On the 21st of March in 1981, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi held a formal ceremony in Sydney to mark the introduction of her Sahaja Yoga meditation in Australia. Over the past 40 years, thousands of Australians have been introduced to her free meditation which promotes, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

To mark this auspicious event, we are hosting public events to honour Shri Mataji’s significant contribution towards world peace through her worldwide Sahaja Yoga meditation movement.
